TEACHER: AMBRA VALLO

Ambra is a former principal ballerina with the Birmingham Royal Ballet. Throughout her career she enjoyed the chance to perform on stages all around the world. Retiring from dance allowed her the time to focus on her passion and to undertake further training in Ashtanga Vinyasa (500hrs), Dharma Yoga (800hrs), Rocket Yoga (500hrs), Forrest Yoga (200hrs and Advance TT), Tripsichore (200hrs), and Gokul Vinyasa Yoga (300hrs). Ambra’s teaching is fun and spontaneous and since retiring from professional ballet she has been teaching regularly in teacher training courses, has worked with performers and athletes helping to rethink their traditional training regimes and introduce yoga to drive better performance and increase their enjoyment of sport and performance.  

ALL LEVELS CONTORTION

Suitable for beginners to experienced, these contortion sessions will help you develop your flex training in a safe but super effective manner. If you think contortion is going to be a relaxing session then think again! Contortion training requires energy, strength and most of all persistence. Students will work through splits positions both standing, seated and dancers, backbends, shoulder work and hip openers as well as more advanced tricks and chest stands. Don't panic if you are a beginner, the sessions will deliver more advanced positions for those with more experience and the basics for those just starting out. 

If you have a yoga mat then please bring it with you and props are always useful as well (yoga blocks and straps). Don't worry if you don't have those things we have some spare!
