12.30pm-1.15pm (show), 1.15pm-2pm (workshop)

A wonderful show for all the family, followed by an interactive workshop for babies, toddlers, grandparents and everyone in between!

Jules Verne’s classic tale is given a modern twist in this colourful acrobatic adventure, sensitively introducing young audiences to environmental issues.

Follow feminist heroine Philly Fogg and her activist friends as our all female-identifying cast venture around the world, riding elephants, rushing through the rainforest and sailing across oceans to learn how to save the planet. On their way, they’ll witness some of the dangers earth faces because of modern travel, the fishing industry, and deforestation as well as the wonders of the natural world. The colourful narrative, bought to life through skilled acrobatics, unfolds together with original music, interactive protests and a celebratory finale. Running time 45 mins.

Following the performance, audience members are able to give into their curiosity and join the cast to play on the big-rig Aerial Playground. People of all ages and abilities can try aerial hoop, hammock and skills on the ladder, with hula hoop, juggling and toys for really little ones.

Workshop running time up to 1 hour.

This tactile piece is aimed in particular at engaging young children, families and those with learning and physical disabilities, and has been performed both indoor and out.

Fairy Dust Party is an outdoor interactive playful piece for children aged 3-10 years and their grown-ups, performed and facilitated by a diverse collective of emerging LGBTQ+ artists.

The funky non-binary fairies will lead the children on an interactive playful adventure. They will fluidly transform into different characters whilst using a variety of artforms, song, dance, physical theatre and spoken word to tell a story grounded in nature and well-being before erupting into a disco party, reflective of The No Outsiders Family Festival.

Fairy Dust Party (No Outsiders Family Festival) is part of Birmingham 2022 Festival, a huge thank you to our partners and funders Birmingham City Council and Midland Arts Centre.

Parent & Baby Aerial.JPG

Happening straight after the lovely Fairy Dust Party family disco finale, parent and child aerial is for all those with children 0-5yrs and their parents, carers and families.

Risky Play has endless benefits for children and parents alike, challenging young ones to push their limits, explore their bodies and take risks in a safe environment. TILT's Risky Play Aerial sessions explore the elements of height and speed in particular. A workout for adults and a wonderful aerial experience for parents, guardians, carers and children 0-5yrs. Great for building children's confidence, contributing to cognitive development and a lovely way to meet like-minded parents.

The training space is filled with all kinds of physically challenging equipment and the highly experienced teacher leads you safely through ideas and tricks to try.

Our café is open for coffee after the session and this event finishes just before the champagne reception if you fancy a tipple on us after or a chinwag with a nice frothy coffee!

All welcome, no experience needed, families welcome, BOOKING ESSENTIAL.

Scratch That.jpg

This year TILT Festival is very pleased to host this jam packed night of scratch performances from emerging artists, young people's work, community work and plethora of aerial acts from our regularly training students.

A welcoming and relaxed event that stages scratch work and young companies, sprinkled with circus acts from aerial students. The event provides a professional but informal space in which to share work in progress and gain feedback from audience members.

There is music, drinks and home made cake...and right before it is our amazing champagne reception with live music and a little tipple from 4.45pm-6pm.
