We have a number of volunteer opportunities and will be calling out for solid reliable volunteers to support us on the Festival. Volunteer opportunities available are:

The class programme and performances are running from three different venues during the Festival. Click on the links below and view the venues on Google map. 


Masterclass Programme: West Midlands Creation Centre, Centrala, Total Solutions


Evening & Outdoor shows: West Midlands Creation Centre


There is onsite parking at WMCC for a limited number of vehicles. The car park is very busy during the day but there is free onstreet parking all day in the immediate area as well as a pay and display car park directly opposite for just £2 all day! There is no parking at the Eastside Park so it's best to park near WMCC and walk round...it's only 10 minutes walk. For evening performances onstreet parking directly outside WMCC is free after 6.30pm everyday. 




All venues are accessible to each other by walking. The majority of events are being held at West Midlands Creation Centre (WMCC), and Centrala, which is also onsite at Minerva Works.

WMCC is easily accessible by bus, train and walking. 

The Digbeth Coach Station and Moor Street and New Street Train Stations are in walking distance from the Centre. 


National Express and Megabus coaches all go to Digbeth Coach Station, just 6 minutes walk from WMCC. Local bus travel also stops at Digbeth Coach Station. Click here to find your way around Birmingham by bus. 


Moor Street and New Street Train Stations are Birmingham City Centre's main train station stops, with fast and affordable travel from all over the country. Moor Street is a 10 miute walk and New Street 20 minutes. Click here for the walking route from Moor Street, and here for New Street.  




We are committed to access for all and so all the venues on the programme are wheelchair accessible and the class programme provides support for disabilities. These are class specific and so visit the relevant classes pages for information. Show nights are all disability accessible, although unfortunately there is no sign language interpretation on events. If you are an interpretor and interested to volunteer for the Festival then please do contact us, we would love to hear from you. 

If you are attending classes and have existing medical conditions you think we should be aware of then please make this clear during registration so we can make the relevant teachers aware of any pre-existing conditions or injuries that we should know about. 



Tickets for the masterclass programme and show tickets are all bookable online wth some great discounts if you purchase class programme tickets and shows on top. Tickets are all via e mail and you will receive email confirmation of your booking. There is no need to print the confirmation (although it's best you do for your own records), as we will have all your ticket booking information when you arrive. 

Tickets for shows will be available to collect on the door, and we expect them to sell out fast so make sure you book in advance. 




TILT is a completely accessible Festival and we aim to make TILT as inclusive as possible. We recognise that there are people in the City that might find it more difficult to access the shows and the training due to financial difficulties, and so we have teamed up with a number of community organisations to give away 'journey tickets'. By purchasing a journey ticket, you will make it possible for someone to access the Festival who may otherwise not have been able to attend. The journey ticket is just £4 and covers travel via bus or train for local young people and adults with access needs to attend. The organisations we distribute tickets to include St. Basil's youth homelessness prevention, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Teenage Cancer Trust and BID Services Birmingham based at the Deaf Cultural Centre. So, why not do your bit and add on a journey ticket to your purchase, and if you're feeling generous you can even add on a show ticket as well. These options will be available to you when you make a purchase via the tickets page.




The offical accommodation provider for the Festival is Adagio Hotels. just a few minutes walk from WMCC and 2 minutes from the town centre, they provide super clean facilities with both private and shared rooms available (in shared apartments), and apartments hold between 2 & 4 people.  They are also giving all those attending TILT Festival a discount on their already competitve prices. You can book directly with us through the booking tickets system and you will be asked when booking tickets if you require accommodation. Adagio Hotels.


Purchasing Class Passes early gives you a Blindfold or Early Bird discount. Blindfold Bird means you can purchase a TILT ticket before the programme is released but have first dibs on all your class choices. Final programme is announced on 1st April so you will receive the full programme before this date to ensure you get all the best choices. Once the programme is released, Early Bird kicks in and is available until May 31st so get in there quick to save some pennies. EarlyBird is not available on the day-to-day or youth programme. 




Class registration will take place throughout the day on Monday at WMCC, and for those attending on different days through the day-to-day programme, you will find a TILT member waiting for you at WMCC on your first morning. Please make sure you arrive early on that day so you have time to register before classes start. Registration will be open from 8am. 




Class Passes: Once a class pass is purchased it is fully refundable until May 31st. After May 31st it becomes non-refundable but it is transferable, so if you can get someone to fill your slot then you are welcome to do that. You just need to let us know so we can change the name details over. 


Show Tickets: Show tickets are fully refundable up to 5 days prior to the event. Less than 5 days the tickets are non-refundable but they are transferable, so if you can't go then you can ask someone else to go in your place. You just need to let us know so we can make the necessary name changes. 




Class passes MUST be purchased in advance and booking will close 3 hours prior to the start of the Festival's first day. You can purchase tickets after the start of the programme but you will need to pay full price and you will need to contact us. Show tickets will be available until all tickets are sold and we will close online ticket purchase when the show is sold out. There are only 120 seats available for shows so it's best to book online as we cannot guarantee ticket availibility on the door. Outdoor shows on the Saturday are all free of charge and do not require ticket reservation. 



Artists are coming from all over the world to perform and teach on the Festival. For a full list of artists please go the Artists page. 




There will be a bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for show nights and Centrala onsite at WMCC will be open for food and drinks throughout the Festival as the Festival Hub Cafe. Alcohol is not permitted during classes and class times. 


During the class programme you are welcome to bring food with you for lunch, otherwise Centrala is onsite for lunch and plenty of fresh coffee. 



We know how unreliable British weather can be so keep your eyes pinned to our social media during the Festival for updates on the free outdoor shows. Of course we're keeping our fingers crossed for blue sky and scorching sunshine, but if that's not the case then performance times may vary.
