Parents & Children

Everyone is welcome @ TILT

At TILT Festival we are committed to providing opportunities for parents to train on the festival programme, whilst having something for the young ones to do.

Our Director, Kim, has undertaken much research into the teachings of The Curiosity Approach and the benefits of Risky Play on brain development. The Curiosity Approach is an original approach to play that encourages children to explore their curiosity and improvise, much like the adults do in the air. Our children's area is based on this approach, specifically developed for toddlers and young children, it is a small explorative playground of building, digging, cooking and making. We have a play leader to supervise and inspire creative play whilst parents train in the classes. The play space is inside WMCC (the main indoor training space), so you will be the in the same room. We also have a baby change, toys and swinging chairs for the tiny ones, so babies are very welcome at the Festival. Just let us know if you're bringing a young one.

Risky Play has endless benefits for children and parents alike, challenging young ones to push their limits, explore their bodies and take risks in a safe environment. TILT's Risky Play sessions explore the elements of height and speed in particular. A workout for adults and a wonderful aerial experience for parents, guardians, carers and children 0-5yrs. Great for building children's confidence, contributing to cognitive development and a lovely way to meet like-minded parents.

The training space is filled with all kinds of physically challenging equipment and the highly experienced teacher leads you safely through ideas and tricks to try.

Our cafe is open for coffee after the session if you want to have a chinwag with a nice frothy one!
