Theme: Introduction to Aerial Straps
These sessions are suitable for those with little or no experience in aerial straps, aiming to establish a good foundation of basic moves and holding positions. We will focus on building up strength through a series of conditioning exercises that the participants can take home and use to develop their practice.
Pre-requisite: This class is more enjoyable when the student has experience with trapeze, hoop, silks, rope or a similar physical skill, as aerial awareness and good upper body strength are required.
SKILLED/ADVANCED
Theme: Spins and Tricks
These sessions are suitable for those with experience in aerial straps. We will work on more complex static and dynamic moves including transitions, with a particular focus on spinning technique. We will also look at building up strength through a series of conditioning exercises that the participants can take home and use to develop their practice.
Pre-requisite: The ability to invert in the air and to hold basic positions such as straddle, pike and tuck while suspended is required.
